People often ask where to put their new garden bed.  One of the best ways to tell is to look outside RIGHT NOW to find out where the snow melts first.  This is an excellent indicator of where there is good sunlight in your yard.  This area is also likely to be a bit warmer than other places and is what is called a microclimate.  Of course, as the earth moves, the sunlight is different, but it still can give you a good idea if you are considering making a new growing space (and really, who isn’t?).
